Speeding to Read with Clara Love

What? Speeding to Read is a reading program for elementary school students created by Texas Motor Speedway. The program's goal is to encourage students to read more frequently throughout the school year. 

Who? All students who attend Clara Love Elementary! 

How? We will be utilizing Beanstack, an app you can download or website you can find in your portal, to collect reading minutes. Students will use this online reading log to gather their reading minutes during reading workshop during the day at school, DEAR time, or they can track minutes at home while reading with the app! 

Prizes? Prizes will be awarded by Texas Motor Speedway and NEF! There will be 5 total individual student prizes including the Grand Prize. Grand Prize will be announced in March and will receive tickets to the race in May at Texas Motor Speedway. Winners are determined by the highest minutes read and catalogued in Beanstack. 

When? The challenge kicks off on Monday, September 16! Students have until March to participate in Speeding to Read when The Grand Prize will be announced.
