After thoughtful consideration, the Northwest ISD Education Foundation and Northwest ISD will end operations of the NEF & NISD Food Pantry at the end of the 2025–2026 school year. The pantry will continue to serve families on the following remaining dates:

• March 21, 2026
• April 18, 2026
• May 16, 2026

Since its launch, the food pantry has provided meaningful support to Northwest ISD families and the surrounding community, helping ensure students have access to essential food resources outside of school. We are incredibly grateful to the many volunteers, community partners, and donors who gave their time, energy, and resources each month to make this program possible. We couldn’t have done this without the partnership of Tarrant Area Food Bank whose generosity has made a lasting difference for families across our district.

While we are proud of the impact this program has had, several factors have led to the decision to close the pantry, including declining attendance, limited staff capacity to continue operating the program, and the availability of additional food pantry resources throughout our communities that are able to serve families on a regular basis.

NEF and Northwest ISD remain deeply committed to supporting students and families, and we want to ensure those in need are aware of other local resources available for assistance.

Market Details

• 3rd Saturday of each month
• Located at the Pike Middle School (2288 Texan Dr, Northlake, TX 76247)
• Food distribution is 9 to 11 a.m. or until food runs out
• There are three ways that families can qualify: Categorical Eligibility, Income Eligibility, or Household Crisis Eligibility

In addition to food, the Northwest ISD Education Foundation will provide personal care and/or educational items for families. These items will vary each month and will be distributed until supplies run out.
