Northwest ISD Education Foundation scholarship applications open now

The Northwest ISD Education Foundation has opened its student scholarship application, providing graduating seniors from the district with the opportunity to apply for dozens of scholarships. This year, NEF will award more than $160,000!

The application is open to all graduating seniors in Northwest ISD who plan to enroll in an accredited institution in the summer or fall of 2025. Accredited institutions include private or community college, private or public universities, military academies, and vocational or trade school.

The online application, which will remain open through Sunday, March 2, is available at the foundation’s website, https://nef.nisdtx.org/. Applicants should review the scholarship policy and information guide prior to starting the application.

*PTSA Members: The Northwest ISD Education Foundation has partnered with the Northwest ISD Council of PTA’s and several campus PTAs to provide more scholarship opportunities in one place!

If you are a member of your high school PTSA by February 15, you can be eligible for one or more of the PTA scholarships listed below by completing the NEF scholarship application. *Other requirements may apply, please see each scholarship detail.

  • Northwest ISD Council of PTAs
    • Four scholarships awarded to one graduating senior at each NISD high school. Student must be a member of their campus PTSA to be eligible.
  • Beck Elementary PTA
    • Awarded to a graduating senior who attended Beck Elementary. Student must be a member of their high school PTSA to be eligible.
  • Byron Nelson High School PTSA
    • Scholarships awarded to graduating seniors at Byron Nelson High School. Student must be a PTSA member to be eligible.
  • Chisholm Trail Middle School PTSA
    • Awarded to a graduating senior who attended Chisholm Trail Middle School. Student must be a member of their high school PTSA to be eligible.
  • Eaton High School PTSA
    • Scholarships awarded to graduating seniors at V.R. Eaton High School. Student must be a PTSA member to be eligible.
  • Gene Pike Middle School PTA
    • Two $500 scholarships awarded to graduating seniors who attended Gene Pike Middle School. Student must be a member of their high school PTSA to be eligible.
  • John M. Tidwell Middle School PTA
    • Awarded to a graduating senior who attended Tidwell Middle School. Student must be a member of their high school PTSA to be eligible.
  • Kay Granger Elementary PTA
    • Awarded to a graduating senior who attended Granger Elementary. Student must be a member of their high school PTSA to be eligible.
  • Medlin Middle School PTSA
    • Awarded to a graduating senior who attended Medlin Middle School. Student must be a member of their high school PTSA to be eligible.
  • Peterson Elementary PTA
    • One $500 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior who attended Peterson Elementary. Student must be a member of their high school PTSA to be eligible.
  • Steele Early College High School PTSA
    • Scholarships awarded to graduating seniors at Steele Early College High School. Student must be a PTSA member to be eligible.
  • Wayne A. Cox Elementary PTA
    • Awarded to a graduating senior who attended Cox Elementary. Student must be a member of their high school PTSA to be eligible.
